| The Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law (DENAN: DENKI YOHIN ANZEN HO) is a Japanese law in force as of April 1, 2001. It is a revision of the Electrical Appliance and Material Control Law (DENTORI: DENKI YOHIN TORIHIKI HO). The DENTORI law applied to type certification granted by the government to the products to be regulated. The DENAN law applies to third party quality certification which is granted by a third party called "a registered inspection agency". |
