Why is Marking Necessary?

The purpose of marking varies depending on the products to be marked.

1. Quality assurance dates for foods
Customers can make worry-free purchases by easily determining the age of a product while manufacturers can clearly print the period of their responsibility for the product.
  Food tins

2. Lot numbers/serial numbers
This number describes when and where the product was made in order to maintain quality control. Manufacturers also use marking as a hedge against a serious customer complaint, by identifying the production lot to minimize the amount of products that are recalled from the market.

3.
Symbols and bar codes used for process control
during manufacturing in factories
During the manufacturing process of a product, it is beneficial to use bar codes to provide information necessary for later processing. This automated system of reporting will improve productivity and help reduce the number of defective products.

Benefits of Marking

Various information about manufacturing, such as history, process control, and automatic identification, can be recorded to ensure reliable traceability by using a laser marker for direct marking on products. If any malfunction occurs in a product, manufacturers can identify the cause quickly, and can minimize the amount of defective products that are recalled from the market.
