UPS

Abbreviation for "Uninterruptible Power Supply". A system used for equipment such as a PC which typically requires data retention during a power failure. It uses batteries or other means to maintain the electric power until the equipment safely finishes its operation.

UV (Ultraviolet) Rays

Light is classified by wavelength into gamma rays, X rays, ultraviolet rays, visible light, and infrared rays (in ascending order of wavelength). UV rays are light with a wavelength of 100 to 400 nm. It can be referred as the light with the shortest wavelengths and the strongest energy of the light that reaches the earth from the sun.
