N.O. and N.C. output modes

N.O. (normally open) output mode The operating mode that permits the sensor to output an ON signal when a target enters the detecting range.
N.C. (normally closed) output mode The operating mode that permits the sensor to output an ON signal when a target goes out of the detecting range.

NDIS Connector

A connector standardized by the Japanese Society for Non-Destructive Inspection. For measuring instruments, this connector is used to connect a strain gauge type transducer.

No. of Display Dots

A dot is a minimum constituent of the display to show an image on the screen. A display specified as 640 x 480 display dots has 640 dots in the horizontal direction and 480 dots in the vertical direction. When the screen size is the same, a greater number of display dots indicates that the display can represent finer and sharper images.

Non-interlaced scanning

Scans from scan line 1 to scan line 525 sequentially and then begins again at scan line 1, 30 times per seconds.

Noncorrosive gases

Noncorrosive gases include gases in the air (nitrogen gas, carbon dioxide gas, etc.) and inert gases (argon gas, neon gas, etc.). The AP Series cannot be used with oxygen gas and hydrogen gas because they are highly combustible. The AP Series also cannot be used for helium gas because the molecular structure is extremely small.

NW-7 (Codabar)

NW-7 (Codabar) was developed by Monarch Marking Inc., in 1972. It is a relatively early-type barcode that emerged after 2-of-5. It is widely used for data which requires printing sequential numbers, such as blood management, package delivery slips, book management, member cards, or registered mail management.
